ADMISSION IS FREE - DONATIONS WELCOME!

  • There is wheelchair access to all areas.
  • Holders of Disabled Badges can gain vehicle access through the barrier at top left corner of car park. By following the road down behind the Leisure Centre they arrive in front of the museum where there is free disabled parking available for 2 vehicles.
  • One wheelchair available for use (free of charge)
  • Passenger lift to first floor
  • Induction loops
  • Baby changing/Family room
  • Toilets for all
  • Seats throughout museum
  • Guide dogs welcome
  • Large print information sheets available from Reception Desk
  • Magnifying glasses can be borrowed from Reception Desk

PARKING

  • Free parking in the Leisure Centre Car Park.
  • The Museum is a short walk from the Car Park, follow signs past the front of the Leisure Centre.
  • Coach parking is available at the top end of the car park.

Disabled Parking:

  • There is a designated parking bay directly outside the museum.
  • Enter Stratford Park and drive to the top of the hill to the barrier
  • Use intercom, which is located on the driver's side, to request barrier lift.
  • Drive down behind Leisure Centre through car park & turn left and left again in to a tree-lined avenue. You will see the museum straight ahead.

TRANSPORT

Car:
From M5
Exit junction 13 onto A419 signposted Stroud
In Stroud, take A46 signposted Cheltenham & follow signs for Stratford Park
At roundabout just after Merrywalks Centre turn left
Next roundabout turn left towards Tesco, go straight over the next two mini roundabouts and turn right at the third mini roundabout into Stratford Park.

From Bath
Follow A46 to Stroud Town centre and follow directions to Stratford Park from Merrywalks Centre

From Cirencester
Follow A419 to roundabout, turn left onto Dr Fosters Way
Next roundabout turn right and then straight on at double mini-roundabout
Follow directions to Stratford Park from Merrywalks Centre.
Turn Right into Stratford Park.

Railway: Stroud town centre - 15 minutes walk

Bus: Merrywalks, Stroud - 10 minutes walk

Coach: National Express service - Merrywalks, Stroud - 10 minutes walk
