Outreach

Outreach enables us to bring the museum service out of the Museum in the Park and into your venue.

We offer a number of Outreach sessions, many in conjunction with the Spaniel in the Works Theatre Company. It is also possible for some of the activities in the Resources for Schools to be delivered as Outreach. Contact the Learning Programmes Officer for more details and booking:

Master and Slave
    Produced in conjunction with Gloucestershire Archives and Spaniel in the Works Theatre Company, a play which tells the story of the Abolition of the Slave Trade. Cross-curricular follow-up materials are included. (KS2/3) 

Inhuman Traffic
    A play with four individual characters, each with very different perspectives of slavery. (KS3/4)

Bernard and Beatrice's Complete Guide to Modern Art
    A two-person performance looking at the history of modern art. (KS2/3) 

Air Raid
    An interactive one-person performance as an ARP warden takes groups through the necessary precautions during an air raid in WWII. (KS2) 

Fantastic Plastic
    A ‘game show’ performance explaining the history of plastic and how materials are made and used. 

Dark Tales
    The Spaniel in the Works Theatre Company performs folk tales from the Cotswolds 

Snaggles
    A storytelling event for younger children 

Prince Albert's Palace of Varieties
    A performance in music-hall style, covering 4 aspects of the Victorian Age: Queen Victoria’s life, inventions of Victorian times, the lives of the poor, the British Empire. (KS2)
