Outdoor performances in the Walled Garden

Summer Open Air Performances

Jenny Wren Productions present: The Jungle Book

Sunday 23 July | 4:30pm & 7:30pm | £12/£8 concessions/£35 family ticket

Theatre in the open air, come rain or shine!

Warning! Wild animals at large! Watch your back around the Cotswolds this summer as Jenny Wren Productions let wolves, tigers, bears, and even a python loose at an open-air venue near you. OK, so we’re monkeying around – this all-singing, all-dancing menagerie might steal your picnic but they won’t actually bite! You are, however, in danger of exposure to silly humour, slapstick and even some serious storytelling. Darker than Disney, closer to Kipling, this is The Jungle Book in all its gory glory – good hunting all!

Performances will take place in the Museum’s new Walled Garden. Teas, coffees, PIMMS and ice creams on sale in the Museum foyer cafe.

Limited places, please book early to secure your seats. To book call the Box Office at Stroud Tourist Information Centre on 01453 760900.

IKP presents: Three Men in a Boat

Sunday 20 August | 7:30pm | £10/£8 concessions/£5 children

Come along on the adventure of a lifetime – well, of the Summer at least – and sail on down the River Thames with three men in a boat (to say nothing of the dog). Join Jerome, Harris, George and Montmorency from Kingston-upon-Thames to Oxford as they encounter a variety of people, places and peculiar maladies and discuss various important topics such as ‘why very few people suffer from sea-sickness on land’ and ‘the advantages of cheese as a travelling companion’.

Following their previous summer successes with A Rip-Roaring Summer Adventure and The Wind in the Willows, IKP return with their unique brand of fast-paced, quick-witted adaptations of classic British novels with this new adaptation of Jerome K. Jerome’s iconic story. Voted the 2nd funniest book of all time by Esquire and listed in The Guardian’s 100 best novels, Three Men in a Boat promises to entertain and delight!
